:devilish: :earth: :floating: THE GOOD OMENS FAN GALLERY :devilish: :earth: :floating:

Welcome to the first deviantArt fanclub for Terry Pratchett's and Neil Gaiman's hilarious Apocalyptic novel, Good Omens. If for some unknown reason you haven't heard of GO, hasten yourself to Barnes & Noble or someplace and pick up a copy. It will be well worth your money, so save your thriftiness for non-essential items like food and shelter and other rubbish like that.

Terry Pratchett Tribute

As ShakespeareFreak just brought to my attention, Neil Gaiman is working to put Good Omens on TV. Feel free to scream (either in joy or agony, depending on your outlook). :D

May I join this group without posting or contributing right away? I need my 'Good Omens' fix, heh.. And it's just, Lower Tadfield Air Base's basically dead on LiveJournal... Yeah, I already cried enough over that, trust me.. -_- And I just happened to find out right after Terry passed, and both things really hit me hard! :( *sigh* It was my go-to community too! Ugh!

ShakespeareFreak Featured By Owner Apr 15, 2016  Hobbyist General Artist… Title is BS ("adapt" my demonic butt! Gaiman co-wrote it!) but OH MY Go--Sata--SOMEBODY!!! WHAT IS THIS LIFE BREATHING HOW IS BREATHING ASDFGHJKLR3IJFDSDFJSKLESAJ!!!!! :squee: :squee: :squee: :squee: :squee: :squee:

Well, "adapt" is an appropriate term. It was adapted for radio as well. Anything that isn't a direct quote line-for-line is an adaptation, no matter if the original author is involved. Just sayin'. :)

Anyway... EEK!!! Omg if they could retain even half the radio cast it would be AWESOME. I never thought anyone would be a suitable Aziraphale, but Mark Heap is the closest I've ever seen.

Actually, when I first heard the Radio show, I felt a bit iffy at first, and my heart was beating fast, because it was one of my most favorite books being read aloud! ^_^ So surreal! And I didn't think I'd like the casting for Crowley and Aziraphale, but it just fits, I think! I was busy at the time of them being posted, so I didn't get to listen to them all completely, just a bit of the first one, and now I feel bad that they were taken down, and I can't listen again! -_- Really wish someone could have saved them, or posted them to YouTube, at least!

Well, I was actually referring to how the title says Gaiman is going to "adapt Terry Pratchett’s Good Omens," implying that the novel is solely Pratchett’s work, and all Gaiman is doing is adapting it for TV.

But, yes, EEEK!!! Personally, I just really hope they don't cut my favorite line like they did in the radio adaptation. I actually screamed at my computer when I realized I wasn't going to hear a drunk demon slurring "the point is the dolphins" to an equally-drunk angel.

BTW, thanks for mentioning me in the Journal! =)

Lol, whoops, I misread that bit. =P

Omg IKR?? How on earth could they miss what is literally THE SINGLE MOST QUOTED & FAN-DRAWN PART OF THE WHOLE BOOK? They must do it visually or the world will riot.
